From begining of 2025

2022.Open Reception

Creating a new project with the onset of the new year, these are very significant changes in my career and in my life. What influences the final result and how all the work changes in connection with the new project, it is very difficult to talk about it a lot, and even more difficult to explain.

In previous years, I got used to keeping silent and doing my job, showing you the result of the work. And this always hid the colossal expenditure of time on the production of the product. The final result came out as something easy to do, not requiring large expenses and time. But with the complication of my tasks, I have to abstract myself from life, close myself off in order to produce more and more, create and implement my plans. That is why today I am simply telling you that I am alive, healthy and very busy.

All my free time, which is very little, I devote to my family, children and walks. This helps to distract myself and, conversely, creates an atmosphere of community and comfort.

a small drop from future projects I am posting for you now.

December Activity(continuation)

A very busy month, as I already informed you in the previous post. Lots of preparations for subsequent presentations, participation in competitions, participation in Christmas markets.
It is nice to be at Christmas markets, which are very intense this year. Thanks to such events, I visited several places in Ontario.
This year, as last year, I presented to my fans a series of new Christmas balls, painted in the Petrykivka style.

There were a lot of people at the exhibitions. It is impossible to say that they are not interested in this. Many people with pleasure and delight came to my table, touched, admired, bought.

I was so carried away by their creation that I could not stop myself even after the last Christmas market. I like to create New Year’s balls.

This work is very painstaking. A small stroke of paint in the wrong direction, and all the work is in vain. When you hang the ball to dry, you need to be especially careful not to touch the surface that has not yet dried and not to touch the drawing. Then the drawing will be distorted, which is very difficult to remove. Well, and special attention to the smallest products – they are so small that their creation takes additional time and knowledge of technology.

Now Christmas has come and the bazaars are over. Everything that is left is collected and hidden until next year.
I would like to note several of the brightest bazaars.

After being selected by a jury, my Christmas balls were sold to several Toronto galleries. They were featured for sale at the Art Etobicoke Christmas Gift Sale Shop Up.

There were a lot of artists and craftsmen from Etobicoke represented and it was a very interesting, creative exhibition.

The next such exhibition will be held in the spring. I am already preparing for it.

Original or Not

Today I want to talk about creativity.
This is a complex topic, but I will try to explain it to you in an accessible way and without pressure.
What is original creativity today and what is not.
Computer intelligence has existed in the Internet space for more than two years. Simply put, a bot or a chatbot.
And in two years we have already realized that when they want to deceive us, when they do not want to help, but to cause problems, we communicate with chatbots and this does not give any effect. Well, this is a whole problem and suffering for our grandparents, who “fight” all day because of some minor everyday problems, waiting for these bots on pay phones. I feel sorry for these old people, God bless them.
There is a way out of these tricky bots. If you ask a question not as a continuation of the dialogue, but contact for an appointment, then the bot turns into a live employee and everything can be solved. That is, in order to confirm each step of the request, you need to be able to understand the Internet and computers at least a little, which, unfortunately, our old people do not know how to do.

In art, the same story. We have come a long way in the last 10 years and every artist now has programs that give him the opportunity to create paintings, illustrations and help him be creative.
Can this be called original? I think so. After all, this is what we have today.
In fact, you can create a stencil (black and white image) of any picture, transfer it to canvas and paint it.
Therefore, it is easy to become an artist. And I invite you to be one.
That’s all. This is the time for lovers of experiments.
Create, create, exhibit and bear the name of an artist.

In addition to the above, I publish my works, which characterize me as a traditionally abstract artist.
And this is 1000% original
I publish my acrylic works.
Why don’t I put them up for sale on this site?
Because you are too lazy to look at previous works. Why should I spend days adding them to the site?
Ha-ha-ha, only Chinese, Jewish bots view my posts and new pages. It’s an interesting time now, my dears.
But the site is absolutely original and I run my pages and write and publish posts in an original way, not bo and not artificial intelligence. I spend my time for you to read this. I respect you, my dear readers.
So have a good trip and look at my new works.
With respect, yours

Nature and the Artist VINCENT VAN GOGH

This is a very large article where I, as an experienced artist, am trying to understand and understand the work of the artist of the past, who became a symbol of Dutch artists.

The line in Museum of Van Gogh in Amsterdam

A tragic and very sensual story of the artist’s life and work introduced me to a visit to the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam. The museum has a separate exhibition of a contemporary Chinese artist MATTHEW WONG who follows in the footsteps of Van Gogh.

The exhibition is located on the left side on three floors and attracts visitors with its scale.

I would pay respect to the organizer this idea, since it speaks of the heredity of the artist’s work, that he really wanted it, because the whole life of Van Gogh’s brother Theo was aimed precisely at this.

Separately, three floors display the works of the artist Vincent Van Gogh himself and partly his friends.
I (I think not only me) was shocked by the story of death and the third floor, where the last days of the artist’s life are told in detail and his last works are exhibited, saturated with bright colors, which are very eye-catching, even without knowing the history of their creation.

I believe that Vincent had an unusual view of the world, in his mind there was a special view of the color scheme and he reproduced this in his last paintings. For this, huge thanks go to those initiators who saw this in his paintings and raised Van Gogh’s work to international popularity and gratitude.
Of course, I fully admit that it is possible to repeat his work, but I really like the video image generated by AI and which I will now present.
It really catches my eye. It’s the long aftertaste of his strokes and the brightness of his colors. Rich yellow, bluish, clear azure blue.
I would especially like to dwell on his love for his brother, his gratitude for him and these beautiful letters, where he addresses his brother, draws portraits of him and sends them to his brother, where he congratulates his brother on the birth of his son and gives his nephew a uniquely tender picture.

Agree, how vulnerable she was the soul of this artist when you look at this picture.
And now, thanks to marketing and the image of this picture on bags, coffee cups, notepads and pens, you seem to appreciate creativity even closer. Hold it in your hands.

In general, I like this approach to perpetuating the work of talented artists of the beginning of the last century, who created several new directions in which modern artists work today. It was a time of an unusually strong economic, cultural, and industrial breakthrough of humanity.

There remain many achievements in science, cultural and scientific discoveries One of these was Vincent Van Gogh’s unusual yellow-blue mark.

This fabulous art from Vang Gogh is my favorite.

This page will add even more interesting details to you

Petrykivka in my work

Today I will talk to you about just one topic.
Petrykivka painting……my Petrykivka paintings.
I have been engaged in this kind of folklore painting during 20 years.
This is my business card to the world of art. I started the first paintings in Petrykivka style more than 20 years ago and still painting.
petrykivka in my work
This is my paintings in Petrykivka style
Petrykivka painting is one of the oldest types of folk painting in Ukraine.
It originates from the village of Petrikovka, Dnipropetrovsk region,Ukraine.
Separate items remained with this style of painting since the 18th century.
However, in modern style, it was formed in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
The origin of the Petrykivka painting is associated with Cossacks and the settlement of the Dnipropetrovsk region by people from Poltava, Slobozhanshchina and Podolia.
Samples of painting in this style became popular by D. Yakornitsky and E.Evenbach. They developed in the form of wall painting (,, Malevka ,,) for interior decoration.
They were painted on folk tools, chests, sleighs, seeders. Drawing products in this style finished by varnishing, overglaze and underglaze porcelain painting, glass painting, painting leather wallets. Also, patterns were taken for embroidery blouses and towels.
Now Petrykivka painting was formed as an independent type of decorative graphics and widely spread throughout the world as an  original separate art school.
Petrykivka style of painting is characterized by a floral ornament that continues the traditions of Ukrainian Baroque.
It uses a variety of colors and compositions with various materials and techniques
Can be made with watercolor, oil, gouache, acrylic, tempera with homemade brushes (made from  cat wool) or fingers, pipette, reed sticks on a light, black or colored background.
In January 2013, Petrykovka style painting was brought to the intangible cultural heritage of Ukraine by order of the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine.
On December 5, 2013, the Petrykinka painting was included in the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity (UNESCO)
I bring my little piece in continuation of this style of painting.

Collection of winter paintings by Helen Polishuk

The beginning of the new 2019 year inspired me to write about my paintings about winter.

collection of winter paintings by Helen Polishuk (4)

You will immediately think that I love this topic. I live in Canada, where there is a lot of winter, more than 6 month in year.
And I manage to draw winter. I often received prizes and exhibited my works at exhibitions or published them in publications.
But I will disappoint you, this is one of my directions, but not the most beloved. I am very good drawing the winter.
Now those traditions of drawing, with which I started ,a little outdated.
This is still the traditional East European school, the old Russian traditions
collection of winter paintings by Helen Polishuk (3)
Over the years I began to move away from the primary methods of drawing.
You will be able to see how my equipment has changed on the example of the exposed photos in this post.
I am not an adherent of one theme and one style, one picture.
I always want a new one. It is in my life I am fidget.

Proposed for your viewing paintings, this is a small part of my work.
I don’t have many of them for a long time. They are in collections all over the world.

Already living in Canada,I created  intresting collection of small paintings devoted to winter.
This is a lively collection filled with originality.
There are many things that show that I live in Canada. These are the buildings of houses and the landscape of nature.
I set up here to draw small pictures.
I will not say that it is special. I liked it.
Many critics say that on the contrary, it is harder to paint small paintings than big ones.
I will argue. It is easy for me to draw small paintings.

That’s just sometimes you have to repeat to remove the layer of paint, shade white.
Therefore, the painting is not created in one month, and sometimes it takes about a year to finish it. This is the process of highlighting more  places in the painting.
Using this painting as an example, I show how applying a bleached layer several times gives a glow to the picture.
It is like nourished with small bright lights.
Very impressive!!!!!

The range of shades is wide, although the winter landscape is monotonous.
This is not true in my collection.

I continue to look to my direction. And the rest of my work only complements what was said

April’s Petrykivka.Part two

Most recently, I wrote a post about getting started in Petrykivsky style.
Today I publish to you the completed work.

April's Petrykivka-Part two

This is a photo of a completed work.
April Petrykivka is over.
I was fortunate through an all-powerful facebook to consult a talented artist from Ukraine HALYNA NAZARENKO

When I drew a painting, I asked her for advice. She advised me to put the flowers together in a wreath.
I made it.

Of course this is happiness when you draw Petrykivka.
Extraordinary impressions.
I just say one word-charm))
When you create a composition, you draw shapes, you sketch outlines with a pencil, you do not see the whole painting as a whole.
Then you color it in a tone. Then you amplify that tone. The color often wilts and you have to repeat it again.
It turns out multilayered oil paint.
I know that many people paint with acrylic or gouache on paper.
I paint with oil. This is my underscore.
After the first sketch of the picture, you give it a rest. The paints settle down and in the second time you draw an ornament.
When everything is already done, you shape the shapes of leaves and flowers.
Again you give shadows and backgrounds to the painting.
At the  end, you repeat everything anew with a hardly visible dark warm tone to match the color.
Again you let it dry week.
And then the most important time begins for me. When I highlight the individual parts of the flower or leaf. The most unique thing is that the main thing here is the movement of the brush. From the center to the periphery or from the periphery to the center.

Here I made a small video of the finished work and show it to you

Where you can hang such a picture?
You ask yourself a question.
,,Everywhere ,,-is my answer.
This painting is harmonious both in the bedroom and in the hallway.
It can be hung in the salon and in the kitchen.
It is compatible both in a large hall and in a small cafe.
It simply needs to either increase in size or reduce.

April's Petrykivka Part two

Such a pattern can be decorated and clothes and utensils.
In recent years, such an ornament is very popular in everyday life.
I just remind you

Petrykivka April’s

I want to tell you how this painting was created.
I will say right away that it is not yet complete.
To begin with, I had a month to paint Petrykivka.
But a lot of things did not work out and start to spread.
I drew a big painting for the past exhibition, I drew a few small paintings in an abstract style, made out my hand-made card- invitations, did hand-made crafts for the future exhibition.
But before it, before Petyrkivka, did not reach.
And now one day, I just forced myself to take a pencil and sit in front of the canvas.
1.What will it be? Will it be a cock, a bird or a flower?
Decided that there will be a flower.
2.What color will the background be?
Decided that it would be white.
3. What color will the flowers be?
Decided that there will be yellow with a beautiful  red shade.
4. What color will the foliage?
Then I decided to play and make the leaves red, yellow, green and straw

And started.

.PetrykivkaApril's

First drew the first flower.
It should be lower and bigger than the next ones.
So I drew it in the middle of the canvas. A little higher, I drew a smaller size of two flowers with a direction in different way.
This gives to painting the development.
And in the very top painted two together a small flower.
Below added foliage.
So the basis of the picture was created.
I left it to dry for a week.

Petrykivka- April's

The second stage I drew all the flowers to create a canvas.
In flowers, I selected veins and shaded leaves.
I did the same with the leaves.
Between the leaves and flowers, I drew stems to make the flowers intertwined.

Petrykivka April's

Again gave painting to lie for a week.
I picked up and outlined new foliage and stems.
I love that the canvas is all covered with flowers.
Now I have painted the veins on flowers and foliage.
Strokes made the direction of the leaves and the stems.
Now again with greasy strokes, blocked in some places the direction of the stems.

Here is what I drawing ))

The weather in Toronto just pampers us….
After the performance there will be a break in the work of the theater.
But I have a very tight schedule.
I am preparing for the re-sale of paintings in the folk style and I represent my artwork on the seminar of Toronto teachers. For them I prepared invitation cards, which I show you

This is a list of acrylic paints on paper with a folklore style.
About how the paintings are created, I’ll talk today.
Folklore style is very popular in every country.
We are, in Ukraine, have the most famous as Petrykivka painting.
These are drawings with elements of flowers and birds.
I made a lot of paintings in this style, and now I am preparing for the exhibition, where I will show a mix of folklore with a Petrykivka in a slightly humorous style.
If you want to see how folklore paintings are created, drop by my website-
When I start working, I create an image.
For example, it will be flowers. When the shape of the flowers is defined, I put a basic color from the colors in a small sketch with a pencil.
After applying the flowers, I paint the corners of the picture, observing a small sequence-below the flowers should be large, at the top-small. They twist the branches.
The shapes of the flowers are not necessary. They are repeated. They can be different.
The branches are covered with leaves and also larger from below, above-small. Their curvature repeats the direction of the flowers.

The picture is obtained as a carpet, colored and mottled.
If you want to see how folklore -paintings are created, drop by my website
I show on the example of this picture how the images are distributed. The flowers twist the bird, but do not touch it
The bird seems to float, but this is only at the beginning of the painting.
In the final part around the bird will be denser  flowers and they will fit tightly to the bird.
The color of the picture is collected from the combined colors. Classically, it’s two colors. And…… that’s ……all.
Now …in modern style use more colors, which gives the painting a motley.
After creating an image and  drawing it, let it dry and  cover by varnish.
So you can draw on all wooden covers, on paper, on cardboard, on canvas.
I use canvas and oil paints.
Another one my favorite subject is the creation of a huge variegated folklore canvas painting.
I will show today a recently finished job.
If you want to see how folklore paintings are created, drop by my website
I created it for the last exhibition .
But this pfinting is very beautiful, fashionable and modern looks in our interior.
It is harmonious both with the classical style, and it is included in the vanguard decision.
I think this is a good decision)
If I had the opportunity, I would describe in this style the walls, furniture, clothes and decorate the premises.
When you create paintings in this style, you can not stop. I want to do a new and new painting.
The work itself is very exciting.

Already in the next post I will tell you about the sale and share with you my impressions.
I leave to you my social links..

How the painting changed under the influence of calligraph

Today I taking about how the painting changed under the influence of calligraph.

How- the painting changed under the influence of calligraph

I already wrote then I was interested in old inscriptions and hieroglyphics.
I began to study them carefully and compare them with the modern image.

How that it turned out to be your judge.
I’ll just show the stages of how two paintings were transformed.
Both paintings are already submitted to the exhibition which will be held in late April in Toronto.
I’ll start with the painting which published in the previous post.
That painting was  a long time just as abstract painting.
This painting is basically drawn in 2017.
It is mixed technique, which used both oil and acrylic and the base was taken from the primer, which gave the picture a graininess.

How the painting changed under the- influence of calligraphHow the painting changed- under the influence of calligraph

Engaged in hieroglyphics, I put on the picture inscription,,cat ,,and just repeated the bending of the animal.
So there was an image of a cat

I just slightly more clearly singled out the Arabic spelling of the word ,, cat ,,(a-kat)

How the painting changed under- the influence of calligraph

Lines of Arabic writing gently settled in the bend of the lines of the painting and I had a pretty image of a lazy blue cat))

Can only watch the rebirth of the painting))
I was inspired by such creativity

My second painting was a painting with a face. With blue face))
It was called “blue face”.

How the painting- changed under the influence of calligraph

Like the previous one, the picture was drawn in 2017.

How the painting changed under the- influence of calligraph

It is flatter and made only with oil paints.
Its color was soft and graphic image.
Among the Chinese characters I found the name ,,Women,,
It coincided with the name of the painting and repeated the lines depicted in the painting.

How the painting changed under the influence- of calligraph

I only strengthened the corners of the hieroglyph for clearer reading.
And it’s all…
So there were two amazing painting in the new feed ,with new properties, with a new image.
I liked these transformations very much))
