My creative terror

Lets begin.
Well, for four or more months, since everything went topsy-turvy for me, and after the absolute loss of work and the impossibility of creating or doing anything planned, I didn’t sit without work for a long time.
The first I was to decide to continue writing scripts and be sure to release a book.

For me, this year is my new project, which I have to create before the end of the year.
Of the plans for this year, the completion of two short films did not come true.

There is quite enough material for both films, it remains to collect and add special effects, but as with all creative people, it has stopped.
The reason is these two products are both comedies. And although I am a person who likes to joke and always have an easy attitude to life, but the environment and events in my country, the news put pressure on me and prevent me from completing these projects.
It’s not about comedies, although comedies are to blame for this.of course, you will immediately note that I am not a commercial person, and you will be mistaken. On the contrary. Who needs these stupid comedies now?

In what aspect have I been able to work and continue to do so?
It is imperative to sell very large paintings. They are difficult to store and preserve, they are gallery works and they need a large open space.
Unfortunately, there is not enough room for them in my house.

I have already turned to some galleries and said that I sell my big works.

It’s absolutely a sale of paintings

Well, their genres, as always, are different.
During this period, I especially managed to replenish my Petrykivka collection.
I’m getting ready to exhibit them in galleries throughout the next year.

It is worth emphasizing that I became interested in acrylic and my work became brighter and richer.
I also liked using acrylic to imitate watercolor painting. That is, such light transparent strokes. Very effective and exciting.

This made me create more than twenty paintings in a short time. Real creative terror))

Such a fountain of emotions and colors splashed out in creativity.
I don’t know how other people experience shocks and events in life, but I separate, dissolve in painting.
When I sit down to draw, I don’t always know what will happen. Here is an idea, for example, draw a poppy. I create a sketch with a pencil, set the shape of a flower, and then the real magic comes. Color selection, graduation, applying shadows – all this magic eventually turns into to such a miracle.

In my opinion, my best work painted by me over the past time is this painting.

Very gentle work. I drew it quickly and did not correct at all.
In general, I really like the whole selection of paintings of that style and time.
There is movement in it, there is tenderness, airiness. There is a search for femininity

I have a lot of family care this summer.

I continue to work on the paintings

My paintings are now successfully displayed at the exhibition Cloverdale Art Show.The show has attracted lots of attention and continues to draw lots of people into the space where visitors can learn more about Cloverdale Common and Art Etobicoke.

I have been told that have been consistently getting about 50 visitors a day.

The feedback for show has been so positive that show extending for another month until Friday,September 6!

Mixture of graphics with modernism

I publish my last work.

Its name is ,, Eyes,,(2018)
A very unusual picture in the painting and its name and this I liked))
I long time chose that style and still
for a year I have been working in this style.
It’s a mixture of graphics with modernism.

I like the layering and contrast with the classic image.
There is clearly a line between the shadows.
There is no ray impinging.
Kind of like flat drawing, but it’s multilayered.

I draw painting in this style in the same color.

I’m watching the activity of the site during last publication.
Unfortunately, with their paintings and images on them, I frightened the active buyers.
I have reduced the number of my paintings
I do not see anyone actively ,,like,, them…..
but it does not stop me.

These works have their own emphasis and I like it.
Someone told me that it was drastic.
Someone said that scary.
But nothing dramatic and terrible there.
There is such an image.
It requires a specific understanding.

Modernism is a philosophical movement that, along with cultural trends and changes, arose from wide-scale and far-reaching transformations in Western society during the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

I love this work, it’s unusual and original.

A few days ago, I showed the last work to the public and visitors of the exhibition.
The reviews were mixed,
I understand that it was possible and simply watercolor landscapes to draw, flowers.
And everyone will praise.
But I like this style.

I will continue to draw in this manner.

How the painting changed under the influence of calligraph

Today I taking about how the painting changed under the influence of calligraph.

I already wrote then I was interested in old inscriptions and hieroglyphics.
I began to study them carefully and compare them with the modern image.

How that it turned out to be your judge.
I’ll just show the stages of how two paintings were transformed.
Both paintings are already submitted to the exhibition which will be held in late April in Toronto.
I’ll start with the painting which published in the previous post.
That painting was a long time just as abstract painting.
This painting is basically drawn in 2017.
It is mixed technique, which used both oil and acrylic and the base was taken from the primer, which gave the picture a graininess.

Engaged in hieroglyphics, I put on the picture inscription,,cat ,,and just repeated the bending of the animal.
So there was an image of a cat

I just slightly more clearly singled out the Arabic spelling of the word ,, cat ,,(a-kat)

Lines of Arabic writing gently settled in the bend of the lines of the painting and I had a pretty image of a lazy blue cat))

Can only watch the rebirth of the painting))
I was inspired by such creativity

My second painting was a painting with a face.With blue face))
It was called “blue face”.

Like the previous one, the picture was drawn in 2017.

It is flatter and made only with oil paints.
Its color was soft and graphic image.
Among the Chinese characters I found the name ,,Women,,
It coincided with the name of the painting and repeated the lines depicted in the painting.

I only strengthened the corners of the hieroglyph for clearer reading.
And it’s all…
So there were two amazing painting in the new feed ,with new properties, with a new image.
I liked these transformations very much))

Analysis of my site

I will begin to analyze my site openly and objectively.

For two years I have changed due to work on my site
I really love this work.
I started with the idea of making a gallery for my artwork.
I created a website where visitors can see my work and buy them, and there is a connection with me.
Unfortunately they contact me through the mail only bots, which I clean every day and drive into spam.

Working with the site learn me how to photograph my painting correctly.
I dreamed that visitors will buy work through the site, because my account is connected.
But visitors are afraid to do it.
I read a lot and understand that this is a disease and the problem of all artists who have personal websites.

I am grateful that I still have letters. I read each letter before I send it to the basket.

So I am very grateful to those rare comments, like this:

I will continue to work.
I want to note that I was not at all desperate that my paintings are not sold on my website and started selling paintings through other sites.
I chose several.
Only working with them, I began to determine which painting publish and what is interesting, and what is not.

Now I’m going to open new accounts in the next months and expand sales.
I believe that it is very beneficial for a creative person to work through the Internet.
Exhibitions distract and tire.
Exhibitions take time.
It’s contacts, but often the loss.
At this time it’s just a show and for an artist this is an entertainment.

A little about the quality and style of drawing.
I try a lot and experiment
But I’m still working with oil on canvas.

I work with acrylic, it’s hard for me.
I feel it .
So I stay working in oil on canvas.
I experimented a lot with styles. I painted landscapes, portraits, created 3D panel paintings and today I returned to the beginning of this period(2014-2015).
An image of a woman ,silhouetted a woman.It close to me.

I will continue to paint landscapes.
And this will be a big size paintings.
But I have so many ideas to draw a female image.

I will continue to create my own collection of Petrikiv paintings.
My goal is to create such an amount to make a very beautiful exhibition of them.

I understood one wisdom.
It is not necessary to pursue popularity.
Much more expensive-to keep your style and manner of drawing.
And at exhibitions the main thing is not the quality of your paintings , but a beautiful frame and the ability to properly decorate the part of the hall assigned to you.

Summer, summer ,summer.
And I try to rest.
My son gives me a bicycle.
In the Toronto between the parks there are bike paths.
It is practical and healthy.
So you can go around a lot of places.
I’m doing it.
On the main page of this website I put a video,where I ride a bike.

I noticed that I do not publish my photos and videos a lot.
I will do it more.
