Over the past year, I have released a short film,,Angels,, I wrote  you about earlier.

This short film is about the support of Ukraine and the warmth of family ties between Ukraine, Latvia and Canada.

This is the debut of a small but strong team and Astra Production Center

Really strong team for this time.
In general, the first pancake flew out. And it is called ,, Angels ,,
I  presented the film at many festivals in 2020.
I admit I was delighted to receive the awards for him.
Show some of them in photo up
My team that worked on the film is worth such awards.
Little 3-year-old Maya played her role perfectly. She calmly kept herself in the frame, posed, read her text well.
IMG_20191020_090743fggfg
5-year-old Sonya, a wonderful skater and an excellent student, the second main character in the film, also played her role perfectly.

And we can already say with confidence that both girls in the future, if they continue their career as actresses, will be successful.
Now the film runs through the festivals, as it should be with.

Today I was officially invited to New York Istanbul Short Film Festivale by a letter from the organizers of the festival.
I hold my fists, I want to get a prize, because it is worth the awards.
Here is a link to my Instagram, where by subscribing, you can follow all my news about me  in the world of cinema and art.

Small excurs from Toronto’s exhibitions December 2019

At the end of the year, we always summarize the past .
Now it’s time to show and analyze the past year.
As a whole, it is much more successful for me then 2018 year.

I participated in several exhibitions and it was successful.
I’m talking about my work and participation in exhibitions.
I have already gained strength again to leave the Toronto with a large exhibition next year.
I accept invitations from you )) worldwide .
I am interested in exhibiting my new works, getting to know artists and seeing new cities in the world.
I hope that next year it will come true.
If you have any suggestions, send me  email here.
I know that you really like my movies about Toronto art shows and exhibitions.
Films where I show various types of fine art presented at exhibitions in Toronto.
Therefore, I again uploaded by here the last film I edited, which presents various works by Canadian artists from several exhibitions.
This is a wonderful work done by acrylic and/or oil.
I tried to show you the versatility of the work.
I like that all the techniques of the artists are mixed here in one exhibition.
The exhibitions shows as rich, heterogeneous.
It must be emphasized that the organizers of the exhibitions gave artists the freedom to carry out their designs.
I think you will notice it.

I will continue to try to publish more interesting films about Toronto exhibitions more often.
Yours
Helen

Exhibition in Neilson Park Creative Centre

Today I was invited to the exhibition in Neilson  Park Creative Centre by my friend Barbara Urbanchyk.
It is a joint exhibition of several artists in which she participates.
I admire her work, her tenderness.
She is a very delicate artist and very tender.
I leave this
film here as a memory of this day

I really love everything what is connected with art and I am very friendly with artists.

I understand how difficult it is for an artist to create some art.
It’s even harder to present it at exhibitions.
Huge work is being done before the exhibition.
Starting from picture frames and ending with invitation cards.
The artist’s success is very fragile.
It happens that a lot has been done, but people come just to see.
We are faced with the problem of integrating art into the Internet.

Now more often began to show painting of artists on the Internet.
Exhibitions often remained as part of the artist’s performance, but sales at exhibitions decreased significantly.
Huge halls and art galleys also suffer.
Artists are looking for any way to advertise themselves.
A very difficult time for creative people.
But I hope that the transfer of our work to the Internet galleries will help us acquaint with art lovers and connoisseurs around the world
Yours,
Helen

Best from 2019

Not the end of the year yet, but I can summarize the year 2019.

In my opinion, my best work painted by me over the past time is this painting.

Best from 2019

Very gentle work. I drew it quickly and did not correct at all.
In general, I really like the whole selection of paintings of that style and time.
There is movement in it, there is tenderness, airiness. There is a search for femininity

It is on sale on my website www.helenpolishuk.com and if you like it, you can buy it using Paypal.

The best thing that I have in my house is the camera.
Best from 2019 (2)

Best from 2019 (3)
I rate her as a very beautiful photo.
It was made in Toronto in a park near me. It was made after the rain. The flow of water in the river increased and it turned out like a waterfall.
Very beautiful photo.
My best photo posted in my posts here on the blog is this photo.
Best from 2019 (4)
It speaks of my character – stubborn, invincible, desperate, adventurous and very funny
My best and most favorite phrase that I never tire of repeating to you, which has no expiration date and with which I go through life, is this phrase
…………………I love you……………………..

Don’t get tired of repeating it and repeating it.

St.George’s-on-the-Hill

I often pass by this church. St.George’s-on-the-Hill.This is my neighborhood, this is the history of my city.
Only today for the first time I was able to look into  and get to know her history closer.

St.Georgeos on the hill (1)

This church stands high on the mountain (hence the name) and is distinguished by a high spire and very unusual architecture.
In 1844 land was given by William Gamble, owner of the grist mill on the banks of the Humber River.
 St.Georgeos on the hill
Toronto have a lot interesting architectural buildings, including the unique buildings of churches.
St.Geogre’s-on-the-Hill church built by William Tyrell in 1844 with large windows and  spire with tin sides.
In 1847 the RT.Rev’d John Strachan,Bishop of Toronto, dedicated the building on October 17.
St.Georgeos on the hill (6)
In 1865 Bishop Strachan dedicated the baptismal font, which is St.George’s oldest memorial.
Over the back wall of the entrance door a tapestry with the image of St. George .
The church is named  him.
St.Georgeos on the hill (7)
It depicts St. George, who kills the dragon.Very unusual image that I see for the first time.
Next to it is a small painting that shows how the church was originally
St.Georgeos on the hill (8)

The church was very small  and later was expanded, rebuilt and added side walls.
It is a small but very unique church by stained glass windows.
St.Georgeos on the hill (5)
At the entrance on the left and on the right, beautiful stained glass windows tell about the life of Jesus.
St.Georgeos on the hill (10)

There are also scenes from the life of Christ.

These are very beautiful stained glass windows. They are made with a special pigment. Were recently restored.

In the central part of church,in main part, instead of the altar, also, stained glass.

In 1976 The Four Seasons window in the chancel was given in memory of Elizabeth Holdsworth. The brass chancel railings were given in memory of Phyllis Goudge.
In 1996 The Christmas window in the west entrance was given in thanksgiving by Lorne and Ellen Matheson.
In 1998 The Nazareth window in west entrance was given in memory of Walter and jessie Goode

A Casavant Freres organ was installed in 1973 and in 2015 was refurbished, the metal screens were removed and new oboe stop installed, enhancing the sound of the organ.
In 1847 two acres of land were purchased for a cemetery. This was dedicated by Bishop Stratchan.

If you look at the inscription on this monument, then there is a raised finger.
 St.Georgeos on the hill (2)
The St.George cemetery is old.
St.Georgeos on the hill (4)
From pioneer days to present, the cemetery has seen approximately 4000 burials.During the last 25 years, cremations have become increasingly common

Connecting connectable

Connecting connectable (6)

My favorite month  May changes to summer month June….
How fast time is running.
I do not have time for  …  creation….
This is probably quite natural for creative people
Now it is especially pleasant for me to be conscious of it, and it is especially hard for everything that I create to join together.
Connecting the connectable — you already feel in my post that I have a writer’s mood today.

Yes ,you are not mistaken.
For more than a month now, I continue to work in a team of beautiful two men, creating a  script for film that takes place during World War II.
I can not describe you much now, it’s still under work.
I can only say that I am very pleased to work in such a company.
I get great pleasure from work.
In parallel, I take courses screenwriter.
That’s just to give them a lot of time I can’t.
Connecting connectable (2)
A lot of visual  details I have to decide now in the process of creating a movie script.
I will not explain  you that this visual work is more than artistic.
But they are very dependent one on another.
 Connecting connectable (3)

It is like a dance. I take a step and stop.
I turn my torso and hold so as not to fall….

Five scripts have already gathered in my archive .For me it’s not enough.
But I have to combine this pleasant work with a no less pleasant second my work.
You know that I am a great artist and of course you expect news from the arts from me.

I was invited to participate in the exhibition, which will be held in the summer.
I refused.
I do not agree to invest in a losing product.
Before offering myself to the galleries of Prague and Vienna, I arrived there and walked around some of the most expensive galleries.
I came there at the height of the day, when there are many tourists.
But I did not find visitors.
Modernity has changed a lot. Internet and social networks killed commercial painting.
Artists moved to virtual networks and they can (like me) find, view their work, buy them through their personal sites.
Our dating is now also virtual.

Exhibiting in ordinary galleries is difficult, since a lot of finances are spent on preparation.
I refused, but they persuaded me and even took several of my paintings.
And here I had to combine both of my works.
It, believe mt, very difficult.
If with one i’m doing it like dancing, then with the second everything looks like childbirth, I give birth.
This picture clearly shows this process.
Connecting connectable (4)
Giving birth to an idea and putting it on canvas.
In the following posts I will tell you about the exhibition.
Now I just emphasize, as I said at the beginning of the post:

Story of one flight

Good day to all
Story of one flight

I miss being a blogger behind my site
I was silent for more than a month without access to my website. I accumulated emotions, thought about his perfection, met, met and consulted bloggers
I thank everyone who, despite my silence, almost every day comes to the blog
I thank for your interest.

I will tell a very interesting story that happened to me at the Borispol airport in Kiev this March
When planning a trip to Kiev, I bought a very large and light bag from the Chinese in China Town in Toronto to place the clothes and things I needed.
This is a black long cloth bag with wheels at the back and with a handle in the front. It is convenient to carry what I needed. But uncomfortable, it falls from the load. At the airport I wrapped it in plastic and it flew away with me.

When I arrived at Boryspil, I was very tired of the road. When the baggage was unloaded, I saw a bag, a black one, a wheels on the back, and a front handle.
Thinking that it was mine, I took her with difficulty (23 kg) to my parents. This is a two hour trip from Kiev. Without suspecting anything, I carried this bag with things in polyethylene by bus in the luggage compartment.
Finnally, when I brought her to my parents, lifted her upstairs to the second floor, how letters and calls started to me.
Ha-ha-ha-ha….
And now I am grateful that they went through my website and the site’s mail, through my social media
The airport administrator was looking for me, because I didn’t take my luggage.
She called me and informed.
I lured bags and took someone else’s, the same bag
Ha-ha-ha-ha
Storyof one flight
 What was then?
I wanted to take a break from the road, but I was busy during evening bringing the bags back to the owners.
I thanked them and apologized for the mistake.
And the next day……. Attempt number two.Ha-ha-ha….
I again went to the airport, took my luggage and brought back heavy 23 kg (ridiculously, that with the same driver) to my parents.

This story is interesting that very quickly people was found me  through my site (my work with the theater) and even found my husband. They sent a letter to him.
Well, now I am calm that I am correctly blogging.
You never know what else can happen in life.
I love to travel
But just the luggage is always at least a little ribbon should be noted ….for dest rest after travelling…..ha-ha-ha…
Now I do it
Story ofone flight
Your best
Helen
